Important Notice to Breeders

According to the FIFe Breeding and Registration Rules, Article 2.3 :

"Queens must not have more than three litters in twenty-four months except with the prior written approval of a veterinarian and/or the National Breeding Committee."

The Breeding, Health & Welfare Commission of Felis Britannica has issued the following informtion which is important for all breeders:

Due to the number of applications that are coming through for dispensations to this rule, it has been decided that in FB the rule will be implemented such, that the member wishing to receive such approval, must provide a letter from their vet giving detailed information as to why the queen should be bred again, and this must be submitted to the Breeding, Health & Welfare Commission for approval via their club pedigree secretary.

The Commission’s decision will be given in writing. In the event that dispensation is granted the written decision must be received BEFORE any matings take place, and a copy of the letter granting the dispensation must be sent in with the application to register any kittens arising from that mating.
