ARTICLE 3 - MEMBERSHIP OF FIFe

  • This club shall be a member of the UK FIFe member, Felis Britannica.
  • This club agrees to be bound by all rules of FIFe/Felis Britannica.
  • It is not allowed to sell or to hand over cats with FIFe pedigrees to pet shops or similar organisations nor for any experimental research or testing. It is also not allowed for members of this club to offer/trade cats or services, such as stud service, by auction or similar actions, be it in electronic or actual events.

ARTICLE 4 - LOCATION

This club is intended primarily to serve the interests of the owners, fanciers and breeders of cats residing in the South East of England but will not refuse membership to any person residing in another area.

ARTICLE 5 - MEETINGS

  • Meetings shall be held on such dates and at such time and place as the Committee shall designate.
  • Special meetings may be called from time to time if necessary for the transaction of important business, and may be called by the Chairman, Committee or upon the written demand of five (5) members. The business at this meeting shall be limited to that mentioned in the call.
  • Members shall be notified of the time and place of all meetings by mail, telephone or in person by a member of the Committee or his representative, see Article 7.4.
  • Five (5) regular members shall constitute a quorum for the transaction of business at a General Meeting. Three (3) members of the committee shall constitute a quorum for the transaction of business at a committee meeting.
  • Only members present at any meetings may vote. Postal or proxy votes will not be accepted.

ARTICLE 6 - OFFICERS AND COMMITTEE

  • The management of the business and affairs of this club shall be under the direction of a committee consisting of not less than four (4) and not more than ten (10) members.
  • The Committee shall consist of a Chairman, a Vice-Chairman, an Honorary Secretary and any other members that shall be elected.
  • The Committee shall appoint an Honorary Treasurer, an Honorary Membership Secretary, an Honorary Publicity Officer and an Honorary Support Officer as required.
  • Committee members shall be elected at the Annual General Meeting and shall take office to serve for the ensuing three years. All full club members are eligible to stand for the election.
  • The committee may co-opt up to four more members provided that the co-opted members meet the membership requirements at that time. Such co-opted committee members shall serve until the next following Annual General Meeting where they shall stand for election.
  • In order to be elected to the Committee it is necessary for the candidate to gain an absolute majority of the votes of the members present at the AGM.
  • The club committee may elect annually other officers or sub-committees as deemed advisable.
  • Club Officers shall be bound not to disclose details of matters which the Committee have deemed to be confidential.
