A federation of national cat clubs or organisations which all follow the same rules for registrations and for showing. There are forty-two members in forty countries, together making up one of the major world cat bodies.

The UK Member of the FIFe which sends a representative to the FIFe General Assembly each year and has a voice in the affairs of FIFe. 

FB is itself a federation of clubs of which the Garden of England CC is one. It holds an annual General Assembly at which all its clubs are represented and at which the affairs of  the federation are decided upon by the member clubs. 

FB also runs a competition for the top winning cats of the year and these awards are presented at the General Assembly Gala Dinner; the Assembly is held on the third weekend of February each year.

A ‘Winners Show” is run by the federation once a year on the first weekend of November.

The UK Dept. of the Environment which is responsible, amongst other things, for the control of the Pet Passport scheme. This scheme allows for pet cats to be taken out of the country and brought back in again without the necessity for quarantine. The rules change from time to time and this site provides all current information.

The World Cat Congress was established to promote better understanding and co-operation among the world's major cat associations in matters of mutual interest and concern such as, cat legislation and feline welfare, which affect all cat lovers—from the pedigree breeder to the pet owner.

The WCC meets annually (the 2006 meeting was in the UK).

The Feline Advisory Bureau is a charity dedicated to promoting the health and welfare of cats through improved feline knowledge, to help us all care better for our cats.
